Russell Peters' stand up comedy career started in 1989, in Toronto, Ontario and he never stoped since. The well-known stand up comedian took his stand up comedy performance all over the United States, UK, Hong Kong, Australia, mainland China, South Africa, Denmark, Vietnam, Phillippines India, the Caribbean, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon and a lot of other countries.

In 1997, Russell Peters starred in Show Me The Funny, from the TV-series Comics! and for his act was nominated for the Gemini Award in the "Best Individual Performance in a Comedy Program or Series" category.

Russell Peters has also had feature appearances in a few films, like the 1999 film Tiger Claws III as Detective Elliott, the 1999 Analyze This, the 2004 film My Baby's Daddy as the obstetrician, the 2006 film Quarter Life Crisis as Dilip Kumar, the 2007 film The Take as Dr. Sharma, and the 2008 Senior Skip Day as Uncle Todd.

In 2004, Russell Peters: Comedy Now! special brought the comedian a new nomination for a Gemini Award and by 2005, the comedian was the first South Asian to sell-out Appollo Theatre in New York City.

On August 26, 2006 Russell Peters: Outsourced stand up comedy special aired on Comedy Central, being filmed at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, California.

Russell Peters' Outsourced was dedicated to the memory of Peter's father and was the comedian's first work produced by himself.

Russell Peters' DVD Outsourced was released on DVD on august 29, 2006 and became very popular in Canada, selling over 100,000 copies.

In 2006, he also hosted the Canada Day comedy Festival and during his career, has been featured at shows like the Edinburgh Festival, Montreal's Just For Laughs Comedy Festival or the Winnipeg comedy Festival.

By 2007, Russell Peters became the first comedian to sell-out Toronto's Air Canada Center and one year later, the famous Madison Square Garden nad reached over 50,000 million views on YouTube.

In 2007, the comedian made a deal with Fox Network, to develop a new sitcom and he also completed that year two USO tours for the troops, having performed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Greenland and on the USS Eisenhower.

On February 2, 2008, Russell Peters: Red, White and Brown comedy special was filmed at the the WaMu Theatre at Madison Square Garden in front of a live audience.

Russell Peters' Red, White and Brown stand up comedy videos was released on CD/DVD in September 2008 in Canada and on the 27th of January 2009, in the US.

In 2008, Russell Peters hosted the Juno Awards, for which he was awarded with the Gemini Award for "Best Performance or Host in a Variety Program or Series" and got him another invitation to host the 2009 Juno Awards as well.

Between June 2008 and June 2009, comedian Russell Peters became one of the highest-paid comedians, earning over $10 million in 12 months.

On September 23 & 24, 2010 Russell Peters' Green Card Tour came at London's O2 Arena, being his last tour as a single man, according to his statement in a interview and the show was also his DVD recording.

Russell Brand's Independence - The man wants it, the man needs it, the man gets it

When i say Russell Brand's independence i actually refer at the fact that Russell Brand decided to be "independent" from Katy Perry, the woman who one of our favorite comedian married in an intimate ceremony in India and who we all know her as the "Firework" singer.

The 35-year-old funnyman got tired of the idea that his lovely and charming wife has been chauffeured him around Los Angeles in the past and needs to be an independent man by getting his own driver's license.His goal is to be able to drive wherever he wants or needs by himself, and to achieve that very soon he hurried up to take daily driving lessons.

Russell Brand seems very excited about driving, he is very focused on getting his license as quickly as possible.He also was spotted stopping at a red traffic light on one of his driving lessons to give to a homeless some money and seemed very pleased. We don't know for sure if he was pleased thanks to his results in his driving lessons or because of  his good cause by helping that poor man.

Anyway, what is obvious is that Russel Brand wants that driver license because he needs it in his "independence" from his wife, the singer Katy Perry and i say if he is as good as he is in stand up comedy shows, in driving he should not worry at all, he will get it as quickly as he says "a good joke".

Russell Peters' Personal Life

Russell Peters, by his full name, Russell Dominic Peters, was born in Toronto, Ontario, on September 29, 1970 and was raised in Brampton by his parents, Eric and Maureen Peters.

Russell Peters' father was born in Bombay, India and was a federal meat inspector. Russell Peters' mother was also born in India, in Calcutta, where she gave birth to Russell's elder brother, Clayton.

Russell Peters went to Georges Vanier Catholic Elementary School until grade 8, Chinguacousy Secondary School for grade 9-10 and North Peel Secondary School in Brampton, for grades 11-12.

In 2010, Russell Peters decided to give a $ 20,000 scholarship asa a sign of contribution for North Peel Secondary, Brampton, Ontario, which he believes has much to do with his success.

The stand up comedian stated that when he was a teenager, North Peel was the best thing that ever happened to him, that he finally felt like he belonged.

Even though the comedian stated in many times that he is against the marriage, Russell Peters married Monica Diaz on August 20, 2010 in a small ceremony in Las Vegas.

"I love being single.  I love women too much to be married to just one.  I really don't get being married and having kids and all that stuff.  A lot of my friends are married and have kids - I just don't get it. My lifestyle - being on the road, playing clubs when I'm in-town etc - it's not like working in an office or something, where you get up in the morning, go to work and then come home at the end of the day.  Most days, when I'm home in LA or Vegas, I usually only have breakfast at around 3 or 4 o'clock in the afternoon... That's not what most people think of when they think about being married..."
