Main Seinfeld Cast and Characters

Seinfeld is one of the funniest American sticoms that ever came to be. It was aired first on NBC on July 5, 1989 and the last show was broadcasted on May 14, 1998. This show has violated some of the mainstream television conventions which described the show as "about nothing". The show was driven by superficial conflict and the strange, yet comic, dispositions of the characters.

The Plotlines of the Seinfeld show were based on the author's real life experiences. This made the show easy to understand and some of the audience could even relate to the show. The most succesful catchphrases were: "Yada Yada Yada", "master of your domain", "No soup for you" and "Not that there's anything wrong with that".

Cosmo Kramer is one of the most colorfull characters in Seinfeld sitcom, with a crazy hairsyle and a vintage wardrobe, being the neighbour that always enter with a violent burst through jerry seinfeld's door. Cosmo Kramer loves somking Cuban cigars, he has a few jobs that he can't hold on to and he is annoying, in a strange funny way.

Seinfeld character, Kramer is Jerry Seinfeld's neighbour and friend with Elaine and George, friends that very often gets into trouble because of Kramer honesty. The strange thing is , that Kramer almost never ends up in problems because of his large mouth and his extrem honesty makes him loved by the people ofended by his honesty and lack of tact.

Seinfeld's Kramer is eccentric, but caring and friendly, too friendly sometimes, mostly when he decides to help complete strangers, forcing his friends to help along.Inspired by Larry David's former neighbor, the character Kramer Cosmo is controversial and played in a great, unique way by the talented Michael Richards, who was rewarded with three Emmy for it.

Elaine Benes is Jerry Seinfeld's ex-girlfriend and a good friend with George costanza and Cosmo Kramer. Elaine Benes is the only woman in Seinfeld's characters and even though she is a friend of George and Kramer she is not a big fan of them ,calling them loser and hipster doofus.

Jerry Seinfeld's character Elaine Benes dates many men, and when she is with her friend she is "one of the guys". Jerry Seinfeld's character, Elaine Benes, often gets herself and drag also her friends into trouble, she is the only one who doesn't own a car and she is a poor dancer.

Elaine Benes is writer or editor, and has several steady jobs during the Seinfeld seasons, she is an advocate of animal welfare and has very strong opinions over controversial topics, like abortion, but later she become misanthropic and neurotic.

For Seinfeld's character, Elaine Benes, the actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus was rewarded with an Emmy, a Golden Globe and two SAG Awards.

George Costanza is friend with Jerry Seinfeld, Elaine Benes and Cosmo Kramer, appearing in every Seinfeld episode, except for one, in the third season of Seinfeld.

George Costanza is friend with Jerry Seinfeld since middle-school, when tehy met in a locker-room and remained friends and he is afraid of Elaine. George Costanza's professional life is unstable and he is neurotic.

George Costanza was characterized as a "short, stocky, slow-witted, bald man" by Elaine and himself, and their relationship can be described mostly as a love/hate relationship. At one point, George Costanza got engaged to Susan, and then periodically tried to escape the engagement without having to initiate the breaking.

Full of anger, nasty, charming, devious and unscrupulous, selfish, neurotic and commitment-phobic, George Costanza was first inspired by co-creator Larry David and many of George Costanza's troubles were founded on Larry David's past real-life experiences.

Jerry Seinfeld's character, George Costanza, was played brilliant by Jason Alexander who was, for that, awarded with six Emmy nominations, four Golden Globe nominations, an American Television award, two American Comedy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Jerry Seinfeld is the main character from Seinfeld's show and played by himself. A stand up comedian, often involved in romantic relationships, that he ends for silly reasons. His character is germophobe, funny, "the voice of reason" and a fan of Superman.

Jerry Seinfeld's book is an adaptation of the comedian's standup material. In 1993, Jerry Seinfeld won an Emmy for Outstanding Series for Seinfeld and in 1994 a Golden Globe for Best Actor - Musical or Comedy Series, and also in 1994 won a PGA Award for Most Promising Producer in Television.

In 1995, 1997 and 1998, Screen Actors Guild Awards awarded Seinfeld for Outstanding Ensemble - Comedy Series, for Seinfels show.In 2003, Jerry Seinfeld wrote the children's book, Halloween, a book illustrated by James Benent. In 2004, Jerry Seinfeld appeared in two American Express commercial webisodes, along with an animated rendering of Superman, Seinfeld's Hero as you can see in many Seinfeld episodes.

On 4th of October 2007, Seinfeld came back for a short time to NBC, where the comedian was the guest-starr in 30Rock. In 2007, Jerry Seinfeld co-wrote and co-produced the animated Bee Movie.

The comedian also landed his voice to Barry B. Benson bee.In 2008, joined a charity aiding lung cancer research, by stoping in his hometown for a one night performance at the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
